Twin Cities Psychology Internship Consortium
Twin Cities Psychology Internship Consortium (TC-PIC) offers pre-doctoral interns the training opportunities in the following: 1) Individual/couples/group therapy 2) psychological assessment and diagnosis 3) professional and organizational consultation 4) conducting community psychoeducation workshops 5) applied research in the areas of a) outcome measures and b) diagnostic instruments. Interns are expected to work full time throughout the internship year in at least three of these five training areas. Time off for dissertation completion and/or additional research is allotted to the student on a weekly basis. Individual and group supervision is provided by the training director and the intern’s direct supervisor.
TC-PIC is made up of two sites: CareProfiler and Counseling Psychologists of Woodbury. They are located in St. Paul and Woodbury, Minnesota. See below for the types of experience provided at each site.
CareProfiler is a multi-disciplinary psychology firm, providing Industrial-Organizational consulting and Clinical and Mental Health Services. CareProfiler's I-O team works with health, human, and community service organizations to help hire, manage, and develop their people. They do this by applying psychological principles and research methods to help solve problems in the workplace and improve quality of life. Focus is on enhancing workplace productivity and effectiveness, through understanding the morale and personality of an organization, as well as management and employee working styles in a healthcare setting.
In addition, CareProfiler's Clinical team serves individuals in the community at large as well as partners with senior care organizations to provide services to their residents to ensure the psychological needs of the aging population are met. These services include: psychological and functional assessments; group and individual therapy; family consultation and feedback around grief, loss, and understanding; and staff training/debriefing sessions.
Counseling Psychologists of Woodbury
Counseling Psychologists of Woodbury is a practice consisting of licensed mental health professionals with over 110 years of combined experience using both traditional and non-traditional therapies. Their team consists of: licensed psychologists; marriage & family therapists; counselors; and psychotherapists. They specialize in providing counseling services for healing and transformation in a collaborative, creative, holistic environment.
Interns conducting a rotation at Counseling Psychologists of Woodbury can expect to provide counseling, psychotherapy and/or psychological assessment to people of all ages: children, teens & adults; individuals, couples & families, depending on interest and need.

Twin Cities Psychology Internship Consortium is participating in the 2019 APPIC Match as an APPIC Member. As of July 1, 2018, TCPIC is not APA/ACA Accredited. TCPIC is in the process of becoming an APA Accredited Internship Site. There are no guarantees that the program will successfully obtain APA Accreditation.
